Mission Statement

KCTMF provides necessary funds, the model and direction required to support the start up and successful progress of Middle School House Bands and alternative programs in Northern Colorado.

Vision Statement

KCTMF will increase opportunities for middle schools and middle school students to participate in a non-traditional band as members or fans, to enhance current music programs with additional curriculum and to enhance school spirit, to offer effective education in the real world application of musicianship and to encourage musical growth.

Foundation Values

1)  Partnership
    a.  Partnering with middle schools to offer a simple model for emulation and working with schools to make House Band Clubs’ assets.
    b. Partnering with businesses and communities in bringing them into the process of how providing financial assistance and sharing educational experiences as an attainable benefit for the youth and community.

2) Sustainability
a. Seeding a self-sustaining school club that will continue to grow and progress with support.
b. In the absence of a House Band Club the Foundation will pursue additional avenues to achieve the mission.

3) Education
a. Providing additional education via the clubs and their performances in terms of instruction, marketing, management, teamwork, discipline, hard work and dedication.
b. Providing an opportunity for kids to learn how to start and run a band, how to manage effectively in the real world. Teaching the positive way to use talent, affecting more kids as these move through their schooling

Maintaining a major awareness outreach programs to educate the community about local youth music, it’s value, and availability.
Creating advocacy and developing a level of musical growth that will enhance quality of life.

4)  Collaboration
   a. Joining with other non-profit organizations to attain mutual goals and to provide exposure to similar groups and musical youth.
     b. Collaborating with the middle schools to engage kids who are fans of the bands and band members, increase school spirit, promote “School is Cool” and to enlighten students about musical opportunities beyond traditional band and orchestra.
